Risk Without Regret: Thoughts On Life, Business, Freedom, & Happiness

Based out of Dayton, Ohio, Randy Johnson hosts a weekly podcast titled Risk Without Regret. The main goal of this show is to inspire and motivate you to follow your dreams, take more risks, build a business around your passions, and have no regrets along the way. Some episodes, I'll discuss a quote I came across and really dig in deeper for 10-20 minutes. Quotes that mean something to me, and I think deserve to be expanded upon to make you think about them more and how they can relate to you. The rest of the episodes will be more of an interview format. I'll bring guests onto the show that have an inspiring story to share about their journey. These might range from 30-90 minutes, and some may even pass the 2 hour mark. These amazing people will come from all walks of life and they bring insane amounts of wisdom to the table. I refer to all of my guests as risk takers. Individuals who didn't follow the typical path, they paved their own. They enlighten us all about how they started their business, or travel the world, or work from their laptop on a beach, or make 7-figures, or even just how their life experiences shaped them into who they are today. Some are more successful than others, but they all share the same mindset of taking risks, doing what they love, helping others, and living life to the fullest. Enjoy!

When I recorded my first episode about 5-7 weeks ago, I knew I wanted to immerse myself into the world of podcasting. I was so nervous to record that first episode, but I'm so glad I did. A couple weeks after that, I launched the Risk Without Regret podcast on iTunes and I was humbled by how many people around the world cared about it. As soon as the first few episodes went live, I knew I was going to do a recap of everything after the first month. Well, here it is.

I start the episode off with a couple books I am in love with (<a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/steal" target="_blank">Steal Like an Artist</a> and <a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/friends" target="_blank">How to Win Friends & Influence Others</a>), then I lead into some stats over the past month. I'm really excited with how well everything is going, which just fuels my passion for all of this even more. And almost daily, people are commenting about it, or sending me messages on Facebook, or sharing on Twitter, or calling/texting me about it. I try not to have any regrets in life, but if I had to have one, it would be that I wish I started all of this sooner. But here we are, one month in, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the RWR podcast!

<a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/steal" target="_blank">Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative</a> - This is the latest book I've read and I highly recommend it, especially if you're a creative person like myself. Author Austin Kleon put together this easy to read manifesto about what it's like to be a creative in this day in age, and how nothing is original anymore. Stop trying to create the next Facebook out there. Find something you love, look at people doing things you want to do, study them, collect some of their ideas, and remix it with your style and personality. I finished this one in just a few hours, so you can easily digest this in an afternoon. <a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/steal" target="_blank">Read more reviews here...</a>

<a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/friends" target="_blank">How to Win Friends & Influence People</a> - I'm currently reading this book and it's hard to put it down. Every chapter makes me think about people in a new way. I need to stop thinking about just what I want, and think more about how I can help others while still getting what I want. No one cares what I want, and you should stop trying to get them to care. The tried and true advice in this book, from over 75 years ago, will help you think differently and change the way you treat others. This is one of the most recommended books among entrepreneurs all around the world. <a href="http://www.riskwithoutregret.com/friends" target="_blank">See why here...</a>

Thanks again for listening and reading the show notes. Be sure to <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/risk-without-regret-podcast/id1024655474?mt=2" target="_blank">leave me a review on iTunes</a> and I can't wait to share the next episode with you soon. Until next time, think less, risk more, regret nothing!
